With no new episodes left for the second season of Invincible, fans will have to wait an unknown amount of time before getting Season 3 on Prime Video. However, the latest update on its progress is hopeful.

On the official X page for Invincible, an image was shared touting the developments of Season 3. The image includes a message that reads, "Invincible will return for Season 3. Should be sooner than Season 2. Voice acting is already complete. 'We are deep in Season 3' - co-showrunner Simon Racioppa. Battle Beast and Titan are returning. Invincible will also be in it."

With the voices in the can, and production already far along on Season 3, the good news for fans is that the wait for Season 3 of Invincible won't be as painful as the wait for Season 2. Notably, the first season wrapped up its run in April 2021, and though there was a one-off special in July 2023, Season 2 wouldn't debut until November 2023. Season 2 was also split up into halves, with the show going on a break between November and March 2024 before ending on April 4.

Invincible Season 3 Will Be Much Bigger

"I think that there’s so many pieces that have been put in place in Season 2 that we’re going to build on in Season 3 and so many different ways that we’re going to expand the show and push the show even further," creator Robert Kirkman recently teased about where the series is going next, per GamesRadar+. "You’ve got some new cast members, new stories. We go [to] some crazy places. But we pick up everything that we left hanging in Season 2. All the emotional stories that you liked in Season 1 and Season 2 are continuing."

He added, "We want every [Season 3] episode to feel like it’s a finale. Season 3 is an absolutely huge season with so many crazy things that you won’t expect. And where we leave things at the end of Season 3… Oh my god, I cannot wait for people to see that stuff."

Invincible is based on the comic book series from Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. The series imagines teenager Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) learning how to be the best superhero he can be, despite the challenges that come with being the son of the feared Omni-Man (JK Simmons).

The first two seasons of Invincible are streaming on Prime Video.
